  Today we ask you one question: if you want a full-grown tree outside your home that gives shadow to your cars and people but mainly provides a tonne of oxygen,

How many years will it take for a tree to be fully grown? 

10-15 years. 

 That’s right, it will take this much time for a tree to grow. 

One more question: What is the first step you have to take for that tree to grow? 

You have to plant the seed today. 

 And that is exactly what we are doing: planting seeds for a better and greener tomorrow.

Plastic is poisoning us more than ever. Yesterday, scientists told us that they had found plastic in the deepest part of the oceans, an area that humans can't even reach. Today, biologists said that they have found micro plastic in an infant inside a mother's womb, which is said to be the safest place for an infant to be. What we will see tomorrow is the choice we all have today, and we are not making a good one even after seeing the disastrous effects of plastic and non-eco-friendly products we use every single day. Once you open one plastic bottle, it will decompose in about 500 years, which means after a minimum of 4 generations of yours. Now you might say, What about recycling? The usage and production of plastic ratio vs. recycling plastic is extremely low. Although recycling is a good option, it does not reduce its usage. It’s only recycling what is there already. So what is a better, sustainable option out there?

Aegle Sriphal is a leading company producing eco-friendly products made out of jute and bamboo. Jute and bamboo are the oldest sustainable natural eco-friendly materials that have been in use since the 3rd millennium BC. The first jute mill was set up in 1895 in Bengal, and bamboo has been in use since around 25 million years ago.

These eco-friendly materials not only look extremely good but are also durable in nature; jute is heat and fire resistant and has low thermal conductivity and moderate moisture regain; and bamboo, like a tree, absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere; it is lightweight in nature but strong, as considered; no surprise Japan built bridges from bamboo. 

The usage of bamboo in ancient India is so old that we don’t even know the exact year when it was first in use. All we know so far is that people used to build homes out of bamboo in the old times, and when they observed its power and miracle benefits in the environment, India started using bamboo in almost everything, from musical instruments like the flute known as Bansuri to home furniture. Bamboo takes its place in every corner. Remember when we told you that it would take 10-15 years for a tree to be grown full? Well, that’s not the case with Bamboo.

Ever heard of the Chinese bamboo tree story? If not, be ready to get your mind blown. 

If you plant a Chinese bamboo tree today for the first 4 years even after taking care of it 100% by giving water, soil, and proper sunlight, it barely grows, but in the 5th year, magic happens and the Chinese bamboo tree grows as much as 80 feet.During those 4 years, it was growing from inside rather than outside, making its roots stronger and healthier

Isn’t this true with every situation in life too? That we give up so early when we do not see the result outside, but in reality we are growing. A lesson we should all learn from this tree. That makes Chinese bamboo trees strong, versatile, and grow in no time. Our ancestors knew this, and they used the power of bamboo to enlighten their lives without abusing the atmosphere. 

  We can’t say that by doing what we are doing we will be able to eradicate plastic and toxins from the environment 100%, but at least we can do what we can do because there is always hope, a hope for a better tomorrow. A greener tomorrow is the dream and vision we have, and we all deserve to breathe better, cleaner air. We planted our seed to see the tree fully grown tomorrow. We request you also to just take one step forward and be part of this evolution by switching to bamboo, jute, or any eco-friendly sustainable product you use every day. It’s a false saying—one man can’t change the world. We have seen enough examples of some great personalities, like Mr Ratan Tata, Steve Jobs, Dhirubhai Ambani, etc., who prove that if you have the will to do something larger than life, you are bound to be successful, so we request you to be the change you want to see in the world.

Anuragini Jannumahanty, a NMIMS Mumbai & IIM Rohtak alumni, led her corporate high-paying job successfully until she realised that the environment is depleting day by day and the work we do for a living only feeds us, not guard nature or humanity, and she has a will to do both, and as we say, when there is a will, there is a way. 

Even after having a comfortable job and after working as a Manager with Top MNCs like Uber, HUL, Aditya Birla Capital and carrying enormous experience in Marketing, Project Management, Leadership, Financial planner; She decided to lead to good cause of world through the sustainable startup.An Amalgamation of multiple experiences which added an edge for her to create an excellent idea company driving global change.

She took her first step towards creating something that has a good impact on the environment. Without any external support, all she had was a vision and an undisputed spirit for a change, which brought many attracted to her brilliant idea eventually and she established best connections with top brands from Zoho, HDFC who gave her the resources needed in establishing best unique brand in sustainability. 

For her entrepreneurial spirit and leadership excellence, she was awarded by India’s Rising 50 under 50 Dynamic Femina in 2023 and Excellence in Leadership by In2Future UAE Dubai Government and BuAbdullah Group Awards.

  She embarked on this path , not for herself but for a better, greener tomorrow, for our humanity welfare.
